“The aim of Bob Bannister Archery is to promote the medieval longbow and the practice and shooting in a medieval style. Most of the rules and methods for modern longbow shooting are Victorian and as such are an excellent way of governing a sport. As far as we can, we are attempting to adopt a style described and illustrated in the period from Edward the first to Henry the eighth.” |

Sited south west of Cardiff in Cosmeston Lakes Country Park, it’s a Heritage Project that is unique in Britain. The reconstructed village is on it's original site and consists of medieval buildings, gardens, rare breeds and a small museum. Tours of the village are by costumed villagers, in character, who’ll describe life and events in the year 1350. Special events take place throughout the year such as jousting, medieval combat, archery, crafts, Halloween events and Summer Festivals. Highly recommended. |

We are a small group of dedicated archers with a love for the Traditional side of the sport of which we have a deep understanding and appreciation. We supply longbows all over the world, “off the peg longbows” through specialist dealers and “custom made longbows” directly to the customer. We are happy to advise on the most suitable bow for each archer and for each type of shooting, and can make arrows to suit. Our longbows are finding favour in all forms of Traditional archery |
